Written by LorrainePosted on 09/20/2011 at 10:04:34 AMI just got this bag so I'm still putting it to the test, but so far so good. It's really cute and very unique. I will not be running into anyone else carrying the same bag, certainly. The strap is pretty comfortable and I love the multiple pockets and divided spaces. For me it's probably more bag than I need because I don't often carry my laptop around, but there's still plenty of benefit to having the space. For instance, I was able to put my drippy umbrella in the laptop portion & keep the rest of my stuff dry. I also like that there's additional straps on the outside that add to the look and are handy for hooking stuff on as well. There's a wide strip of velco across the inside front that's not really necessary and is kind of annoying since it grips on and you have to rrriiippp it open every time you go for a pen or whatever when you're in class. The solution to that issue is to leave the bag open, but then you don't have ready access to the front pocket. The only thing that is a big issue for me is that it's really big - about 2 inches wider than a standard messenger bag. I guess that's to hold larger laptops but if your laptop is that big are you really carrying it around? I've been told it doesn't look goofy but I'm a titch self-conscious about it. I also love that it has the backpack straps built right in, but because it's so big wearing it that way looks pretty silly. Really, 2 inches smaller and sans velcro and it would be the greatest bag of all time.
Sale price makes this convertible messenger a steal
Written by EmilyBKPosted on 08/11/2011 at 4:59:21 PMI bought this bag today at the Seventh Ave. store because I need something for my school commute that can accomodate a 15" laptop, notebook, standard-sized paperbacks, and the essentials (wallet, phone, keys, etc.). Everything fits wonderfully and securely, plus the straps and stitching make the bag feel durable. I love that it comes with backpack straps for days I take my bicycle, and the red color is lovely. I was already sold, but the 30% off made it even more awesome.
