Ribcage Necklace

Lillian Crowe makes and sells a mixture of handmade and vintage pieces. She is a born and raised New Yorker and after a post-college two year fashion design program at schools in both Florence and New York, Lillian has been working in the fashion industry for three years. She’s worked as both a designer and patternmaker and still does freelance patternmaking work. She kept having ideas for cool jewelry and could never find the pieces she was imagining, so she ended up trying to make them. She initially just mixed up charms on different chains and learned about metals and basic construction. Then in March 2009 she started to cast original pieces and has been doing so ever since. Her signature pieces are entirely handcast and assembled in NYC. Over half of the materials used are reclaimed from former jewelry factories. Her pieces range from delicate pinecone pendants and ribbon necklaces to the larger statement necklaces of steer skulls and ribcages that evoke a darker, gothic theme.
