“I’ve always been obsessed with Brooklyn, so naturally a lot of my ideas tend to be inspired by Brooklyn culture and art. In this case, I was looking through a magazine while I was flying back from a trip and I came across a classic photograph of Spike Lee wearing a Brooklyn hat, so I immediately scrounged up a pen and sketched out the idea on a cocktail napkin. I wanted the design to have a very simple and classic aesthetic to it, similar to a lot of old school baseball team logos.” - Jay Roeder
