Is brooklynindustries.com secure?
Brooklyn Industries takes your security concerns seriously, which is why we use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to safely encrypt all of your private information when placing an order. For added shopping confidence, brooklynindustries.com is tested and certified daily to pass the “McAfee Secure” Security Scan. To help address concerns about possible hacker access to your confidential data, and the safety of visiting this site, the "live" McAfee Secure mark appears only when this site passes the daily McAfee Secure tests.

What payment methods does brooklynindustries.com accept?
Brooklynindustries.com accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, PayPal and Brooklyn Industries gift cards.

How do I know my online payment is safe?
Brooklyn Industries takes your security concerns seriously; your credit information is encrypted and stored on a third party server for additional protection.

Do you charge tax?
Brooklyn Industries charges tax on orders shipped to the following states:
Illinois:
9.75% sales tax on all items
New York:
4.4375% On All Items under $110 each

8.875% All bag purchases and clothing and accessories over $110 each

Do I have to create an account to place an order?
While we encourage you to create an account for the most comprehensive ordering and shipping information and correspondence, we now also offer guest checkout. When you are ready to check out simply click on “Check out as guest”

I have a promotion code, where do I enter it?
Promotional codes can be entered in the box in the shopping cart or at checkout. Enter the promo code in the box and click “Apply”. Free Shipping discount will not display until the qualifying shipping method has been chosen. Please enter Free Shipping Promo Codes at the last stage of checkout.

How will I know that my order has been placed successfully?
Once your order has been processed you will be redirected to an order confirmation screen, which contains all of your order information and your order number.

How long does it take to process my order?
Orders typically ship the next business day, but please allow up to two business days for processing. Orders placed after 2PM usually will not ship until the next business day, including orders with express shipping. If you need your order expedited, please contact customer service ASAP.

Shipping Calendar

Can I make a change to my order after it has been placed?
As long as you contact us before your order has shipped, we can make changes to or cancel your order. Orders cannot be changed or canceled once they have shipped.

When will my credit card be charged?
Your credit card will be charged when your order ships. If you did not use guest checkout, you will receive an e-mail notification with tracking number when your order has been processed for shipment.

What if my item is out of stock?
If your item is out of stock, we will ship ahead the rest of the items in your order and ship the out of stock item when it comes back in stock. If the item is completely sold out, you will not be charged. Please note, International orders will only be shipped in full, out of stock items can either be cancelled or the order can be held until the missing item arrives.

How can I check the status of my order?
You will receive e-mail notifications as your order status is updated. You can also check the status of your order by logging in to your account and clicking on “Order History”
For order status on orders placed using Guest Checkout, please contact Customer Service.

Will I get a receipt with my order?
A packing slip with pricing information will be enclosed with your order unless it is a gift order. Your order confirmation e-mail also acts as your receipt. You can also log into your account to view your order history and charges.

Do you offer gift services?
Brooklyn Industries offers Free gift messages on every order; Gift-wrapping is available on most items for a fee of $4.00 (Kraft Paper Gift Box, Brooklyn Industries Tissue Paper and Greeting Card). We also offer Gift Cards in multiple denominations which can be redeemed at any Brooklyn Industries retail store or on this website.

Can I receive a price adjustment on sale items or limited-time promotions?
If an item is marked down permanently within seven (7) days of purchase, Brooklyn Industries will honor a price adjustment in the form of a Brooklyn Industries gift card for the price difference. Original proof of purchase is required, please contact Customer Service to request a credit. Cash refunds will not be issued. Price adjustments are not available on limited time promotions, including Free Shipping offers and Percent Off sales.

What Shipping Options do you currently offer?

At this time we have 6 different shipping domestic and international options.  Read below for more information and delivery estimates.  Actual delivery time may vary based on destination and shipping volume.  Please allow up to 2 business days for processing orders.

1. Economy Shipping (FedEx SmartPost). 

Packages are shipped via FedEx and  final delivery is completed through the U.S. Postal Service.  FedEx SmartPost reaches every U.S. address, including P.O. boxes and military APO, FPO and DPO destinations. You can even use FedEx SmartPost to ship to Alaska, Hawaii and all U.S. territories.  Because the USPS completes the delivery, packages can arrive on Saturdays.

Delivery through economy shipping takes 2-7 business days, based on distance to the destination.

2. FedEx Ground

Delivery by 1-7 business days, based on distance to the destination

3. FedEx 2nd Day Air

Delivery by 4:30 p.m. in 2 business days to most areas (by 7 p.m. to residences)

4. FedEx Standard Next Day Air

Next-business-day delivery by 3 p.m. to most U.S. addresses; by 4:30 p.m. to rural areas.

5. FedEx International Priority

Time-definite delivery typically in 1, 2 or 3 business days.  Reaches major cities in Europe by noon typically in 2 business days. 

6. USPS International Priority Mail

Only available to Canadian customers at this time.  Delivery within 6-10 days

Returns and Exchanges for Online Purchases

We want you to love our products! If you are not completely satisfied with your order or something doesn’t fit right, you can simply return it to us for a refund or an exchange within 30 days of delivery.

Expedite your Exchange. Did you know? We offer Express Exchanges with FREE Shipping!
Brooklyn Industries now offers Express Exchanges with FREE Shipping on all domestic orders! If a speedy exchange is most important to you, please place a separate order for the desired item and mention the new order number on the return/exchange form. We will ship your new order and refund the original shipping costs when we receive your return! It couldn’t be easier.


Step by Step Instructions
For your return or exchange, please follow these simple steps or call us at 1-800-318-6061 with any questions.

Step One
• The packing slip that came with your order has a return/exchange form printed on the back, please fill it out and indicate what you would like to do (either exchange or receive a refund or a store/online credit in the form of a gift card.)
• If you don’t have the packing slip anymore, please download a new return/exchange form, and print a copy of your order confirmation email.
• Please note: We cannot accept returns/exchanges for the following three reasons:
- Orders past 30 days of their delivery date.
- Items without original tags.
- Item is marked “Final Sale”.

• Send your items and your paperwork to Brooklyn Industries Returns Department:

• Please be sure to use a carrier that can provide you with a tracking number. Brooklyn Industries cannot replace packages lost during return shipment if proof of tracking is unavailable.
• We are not responsible for shipping charges back to us.

Return Online Purchases at one of our Stores
You also have the option to return your order to one of our Brooklyn Industries Retail Locations. Stores are able to process returns for store credit or exchange only on premise. If you would like a refund to your credit card, the item will be transferred back to our headquarters for processing, and you will be emailed when the transaction is completed.

Damaged Items

In the unfortunate event that you received a damaged item, please contact our customer service department at CustomerService@BrooklynIndustries.com or at
1-800-318-6061 about the damage and we will send you a pre-paid return label to pick up the damaged item. We will then send you a replacement or issue a refund.

Additional Information
• Shipping charges are non-refundable.
This excludes shipping charges on items sent back to you through our express exchange option.
• Items marked “Final Sale” at the time of purchase may not be returned or exchanged. This includes “Sale Items” purchased during additional % off sale promotions.
• We are unable to provide free exchange shipping for international orders.
• If your item arrives damaged, please contact our customer service department and we will send a pre-paid return label to pick up the damaged item. We will then send you a replacement or refund you if a replacement is unavailable.

Returns & Exchange Policy for Store Purchases
• Store credit or exchange only; within 30 days of original purchase with receipt. No cash or Credit Card refunds.
• All sale items are marked “Final Sale” at the time of purchase and may not be returned or exchanged. 
• Full price merchandise purchased at a store may be mailed in for exchange or return for store/online credit. (Please follow the return/exchange instruction of our online returns above).

I received a gift card in store; can I redeem it online?
Brooklyn Industries gift cards can now be redeemed both online and in store.

I received an e-gift certificate; can I redeem it in store?
Brooklyn Industries e-gift certificates can be redeemed both online and in store. To redeem in store, please print out the e-mail you received with the e-gift certificate number and bring it to any Brooklyn Industries retail store.

How long does it take to receive a Brooklyn Industries gift card?
Brooklyn Industries gift cards are mailed via USPS letter from Brooklyn, NY. Please allow 5-7 days for delivery. Need a gift card fast? Order an instant e-gift certificate and have it e-mailed directly to the gift recipient. Brooklyn Industries e-gift certificates can be redeemed both online and in store.

Can I redeem my Brooklyn Industries gift card for cash?
Brooklyn Industries gift cards and e-gift certificates can only be redeemed for Brooklyn Industries merchandise, they cannot be redeemed for cash.

Can Brooklyn Industries gift cards be returned?
No, Brooklyn Industries gift cards cannot be returned.

Do Brooklyn Industries gift cards expire?
No, Brooklyn Industries gift cards do not expire or decrease in value over time.

How do I place a gift order on brooklynindustries.com?
Place an order on brooklynindustries.com and enter the gift recipient’s information in the shipping address. You can include a gift message for free, or have your order gift wrapped for a fee of $4.00 per item. The gift recipient will receive a packing slip with their order, but the pricing will not be included.

Can I include a gift message with my order?
Yes, you can include a free gift message with any order. Just enter your message into the Gift Message box at checkout. Please note there is a limit of 65 characters.

Can I gift wrap my order?
Yes, most items can be gift wrapped for a fee of $4.00 per item. Brooklyn Industries gift wrap includes a kraft paper gift box, tissue paper and Brooklyn Industries greeting card.

If my gift recipient returns something from an order, who receives the credit?
When an order is returned, the gift recipient has the option of choosing to receive the credit as a Brooklyn Industries gift card or returning the funds back to the original credit card charged. Brooklyn Industries cannot issue a credit on a different credit card than used to make the purchase (unless the card used has expired).

To write a review, Sign in or Create an Account. Select a Nickname in the profile options, then click on the “write a review” link on any product page. Product reviews may not contain inappropriate or explicit content, and must be approved before it will be posted. We appreciate all feedback, and a review will never be rejected due to negative content.

Are all Brooklyn Industries bags covered by the limited lifetime warranty?
No. All Brooklyn Industries “Classic” bag shapes are covered, but limited edition and fashion bags may not be covered. Please visit our Bag Warranty Information page to see a list of Brooklyn Industries bags covered by the warranty.

What is the best way to clean my Brooklyn Industries bag?
Spot clean the bag with a damp cloth. Machine washing a Brooklyn Industries bag will nullify the warranty.
